Some SPF loot from Aubrey
Re: Some SPF loot from Aubrey
Sweet. I'm not regretting I've preordered now.

Wow! I love the attention to detail! The rust on the door, and the chipped paint!

Aubrey was the first to see the pictures
I'm actually more interested to see how fur shaders are going to work... without eating your frame rate.

Why would it eat your frame rate? It's not like fur is going to be made of 3D models. I don't expect fur shading to have a much bigger performance deficit than bump mapping.Ozymandias wrote:Aubrey was the first to see the pictures

True, but considering the genius the team's already spent on all other areas, we're wondering what genius we're going to find in this subject.
In any case, anything Wolfire has proven to be genius.
Yes, that includes the old stuff.

Wow, the potential of your design method is really showing here. This is great!
I can almost imagine what an entire city would look like built like this: awesome.
keep up the fantastic work.

The construction process is really interesting. Positionning and scaling textured blocks is an interesting way to build quickly a lot of different structures. But, according to me, it's lacking of occlusion (controlled intersections) and lighting : all faces are lightened equally. I'm eager to see what it will be with the final engine.
Re: Some SPF loot from Aubrey
Yup, that's why it's not in the blog. As hot as this looks, Aubrey doesn't consider it close to done. It's going to get much, much better, which is hard for me to fathom.

Why? Why the hell would you resurrect this topic? You didn't even have anything to add, you just needlessly wasted my time.The8thSection wrote:This is EPIC!!!!
