It would take a lot of custom modeling, but I can definitely imagine desert rats living in those kinds of houses.

Those stone houses with their platforms and ladders were indeed pretty sweet... and imagining running around that foresty area as a ninja rabbit? Woaaaaah... I need to play Riven again so's I can imagine the awesomeness of just that.
