so I've been updating the wiki a little, trying to emphasize using it as a form of documentation for the various features of the phoenix game engine. Ideally I'd like it to be a resource users can take advantage of when creating mods for Overgrowth. However I lack the technical expertise for a lot of the details. I've already merged as much information as I could find from the forums, largely the posts by markuss on 3d Models and Characters, but the scripting and level sections in particular are still rather sparse. If any of you would like to pitch in, that'd be great! Or if you have any specific resources you can point me to, I'll try my best to merge them into the wiki. I have some time over the weekend.

I talked to Jeff about this problem when I ran into it myself, it should be fixed now.

I have moved all the editor controls from the control reference article to the editor interface article. I also pretty much rewrote the entire editor interface article as most of the information in there was over three years old!

The reason I moved the controls from the control reference was that it was so hard to figure out how to make a good editor reference otherwise. Either I would have to duplicate much of the information that already existed in the control reference article, or if I didn't do that I would just end up with a bad editor article.

We might want to change the names of those articles, but I 'm a bit scared to do so because the wiki warned me that people might get upset if popular pages get moved.

Sweet, an update of the wiki is very appreciated. Would be very handy to have a more organized and complete documentation of everything in the wiki.

Yeah that is what it should be, it will get much better in the near future I think.

Insufficient information on the carve against terrain tool introduced in Alpha 206. I cannot find information about that tool on the wiki. Could someone with appropriate knowledge update the Editor page to reflect this? If the tool no longer exists, please make it known in which versions the tool did exist and when it ceased to do so.

Thanks in advance!

The tool will no longer exist in Beta 2, and never really worked correctly and bug free before that.

Is there a tutorial on object/armor attachments on the wiki? I keep seeing "select the object, hold ALT, drag to a bone and left click to attach" from other sources, but that does not work with anything other than wooden plate and a few interactive objects like pouches (how do you attach other items to a character?). The alpha 204 video by David was the only thing I found related to this that did not involve a mod of some kind.

I just tested it, here are the steps laid out:
1. Select the object you want to attach by double-clicking it.
2. Hold alt, lines showing the character's skeleton should appear.
3. While still holding alt, left click on the bone you want to attach it to.

This should work.

We're trying to organize people into working on this wiki again! For a while now Merlyn and I have been working on it, but it's taking a long time to get all of the information on there, so it would be awesome to get some help.

If you want to help out, join the Wolfire Discord at https://discord.gg/wolfire and send a PM to me, my username is Silverfish#2304 and my nickname is Lukas.
