Wh-wh-wh-whaaaat.. !?
I'll try this out right away.

EDIT:
However, I don't quite get how I load it up.
I place it in the Levels folder, and then use the field when starting up to load the file, but the client just crashes.

try renaming it DesertFort_IGF.xml and replace. I used that map as a staring point and edited it

EDIT: NVM I fixed it, it should work now

Adwuga when I polished up foothold again I noticed the loading bug you are probably running into:

In the recent alphas if you try to load a custom level by typing it into the box on the main menu and PRESSING ENTER the game WILL CRASH.

However, if you type in your custom level file and CLICK the LOAD BUTTON, it WON'T CRASH.

Jeff figured out what was causing this issue so it should be fixed for next week.

John, I was aware of that and thus used the Load Button right from the start, but appearently there was a problem with the .xml file.
He reuploaded a fixed version and BAMM, works.

Adwuga, I don't think the name is of any importance other than for referencing to the Level from the in-game menu, I renamed my file to "ObsCourse.xml" (because I dislike spaces in names and it's easier to type in) and it still works just fine.

The version I tested with was v.83, I'll download the latest version and try it out again, I believe The Developers did some tweaking with jumping off climbed walls since the 83rd version.

EDIT:
Eh, have you actually cleared this yourself? I seem to find no way of actually beating this.

The small tunnel is... too small to jump frequently up through, and the other ways second part is impossible to clear.

I'll demonstrate with a video of what I mean by tomorrow evening if you'd like to.

All in all, I think it's nicely built and very creative. I'd create one myself if I had the time.

ya i beat this a few times. im planning on adding more. on the tunnel wallrun and jump at the end. just grab onto the cliff. john, now I get
"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error

Program: C:\Users

This application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way
please contact the applications support team for more information."

so thats what im doing.

then other times, i still get the conversion.dds error!!!

I tried on another computer. I can load my obstacle course on that, but not foothold, even though you updated it. im using windows 7 on both computers, and comparability mode doesn't work with overgrowth
