Last's object browser tab mod

Post by last » Mon Oct 31, 2011 2:55 am

i put here all my object browser tab mod stuff

What that mod does?

I have made a new tab in object brouser named O2 and it includes all objects that are playabel in is for easyer accsess for them. Also it adds icons for each object in it so you don't have to guess what might mean sign_post_a.

In this new tab there are totally 532 objects compared to OG original 112 objects in objects tab

i should point out that my first version of this mod was included in OG a130+ something
EDIT:
here is "megapack" that includes all a148-a199 changes for my mod

Last's object browser megapack
The latest version of this mod is adding all the items and objects that are in the current build.
Also this mod don't "brake" every week so i don't have to update so often

This object was somehow not included in the official update, so I had to get the file from the team to make it work. I haven't packaged them up for a single download, but here are the three files you can download (if you don't want to install my menu mod).

The sea model
Goes in Data/Models/terrain/sea_cliffs/

The sea xml (be sure to right click, save as... etc so it doesn't try to open in browser)
Goes in Data/Objects/Terrain/sea_cliffs/

The new skybox (this is not required for the Last's tab mod)
Goes in Data/Textures/skies/

Actually there is cool thing with OG- if some object is missing some files or all files exept xml file it onley bring up some error messages that tells you that those files are missing. After that game should run perfectly again.

There are replacement textures for missing textures and replacement object file for missing object file. (little whaleman with green and black texture)

With alpha 163 i got alot of missing textures. So this update is adding 19 new objects into O2 tab.
This means there are 404 objects/decals in there.

This update adds alot of trees and bushes.

And again there are some files missing, so i can't add all objects in there. I hope to see them in next alpha so i can make a update for this mod.

Also i hope that i have some time and make better browser or sort them better

It has been busy week for me but i finally finished updating my mod. Now it should have all objects in the O2 tab that are available in the a 166. This means that there are 411 objects in there.
Oh and this update adds all the rabbit hut objects (6 of them) and 1 crete object (crete_block_marble_standard)

There have been some "requests" after this weeks alpha update to update my mod so there would be easy access for new weapons that this alpha added.

Note this mod will be updated at some point into v2. this means right now i just added all the new objects and items into item browser but they don't have icons (or what ever they are called) right now.

Where do we copy the folders? Sorry I'm still pretty new to modding.

You merge my mod's data folder (and all the other folders and files) with your Overgrowth data folder (and all the other folders and files) and it should work.
When you use mac and use sum launcher then there is a option there to see inside of overgrowth packages (there is also a way to see without sum launcher but i am not sure how) and then you have to merge all the folders and files that i made with yours.

Is there anything special we have to do to activate it? I installed it and it's not adding anything.
