It's been sitting on my desktop forever, so I've decided to finish up the remake of my old map "Gael", and release it in the modding subforum.
Calculating shadows highly recommended!
Here is a link to the old map, for those who are interested in the story

:edit:
Due to some details mentioned on OGWeekly, I wanted to clear some things up.
The rabbit at the bottom was originally supposed to escort you up to the top and kick you off.
There were 2 problems:
1.I wasnt sure how to control hostility until you got to the top
2. as Anton mentioned, it takes a long time to get to the top at walking speed, so I just placed the player at the top.
Thanks for the feedback, especially that from OGWeekly. I'm not a mapper, but I was able to learn the tools and build this map rather easily and have fun doing it, it's a testament to how approachable the level making tools really are. Keep up the great work Wolfire. You deserve every dollar you get from this game!
It mostly includes more polish and detail than the first one. Just run off the edge and press and hold Z to end your life spectacularly. FUN!!"Gael" Remade

Re: "Gael" Remade
Awe...Some.
I'll have to see how it runs for me. You should see about calculating the shadows before hand, or maybe having a user with a better computer do it. My PC can't handle it, as I imagine some other's can't. Gonna have to try this one out.

Re: "Gael" Remade
I'm not really sure where the game puts the shadow information for a map, otherwise i would. I generated the shadows and took the map to another computer, and the shadows were gone. So I'm guessing the shadows are kept separate from the xml. Any ideas?
Re: "Gael" Remade
I think the shadows are stored in many files called Documents\Wolfire\Overgrowth\Data\Textures\ShadowMaps\mapname_###.png
Re: "Gael" Remade
Okay, yeah...
There are 338 files just for the shadow map for Gael.
Here are all the files, just extract them to your Documents\Wolfire\Overgrowth\Data\Textures\ShadowMaps directory
Let me know if this works.

Re: "Gael" Remade
You can actually pack the shadow maps with the level if you want, it doesn't matter if the shadow maps are copied to the Program Files directory alongside with other files the level needs. It makes it easier for the users to install them that way too.
