[Map] Rescue The Prisoner v0.3 *it works now*

Post by MrOtton » Fri Mar 16, 2012 6:41 pm

This is the first version of my new map.
Your neighbour (and friend) is caught by the guards
and you have to rescue him... (cool story, I know :? )
(It's not even a story, is it? :D )

Have fun!

Tell me your ideas and suggestions! :D

(I hope, that it works)
EDIT: Obviously this isn't the right level. I will try to upload the right file as soon as possible!
EDIT: It should work now! (Thanks to Aaron)

v0.3: -fixed pathfinding

does it lag a lot? it doesn't seem to work for me, it just loads the grassy beach with the vs mode and your map doesn't seem to be there.

No, it shouldn't lag a lot. Thanks, I probably uploaded the wrong file (again...) :(

The map is pretty cool, but oh so laggy. You should resize the normal blocks to create walls and floors, not just copy-paste more, this would reduce the lag significantly. Also, there seems to be a bug in which guards that starts with linked weapons won't follow their waypoints after the map has been saved and reloaded. This could be fixed by just letting the pick up their weapons the old fashioned way.

Yeah, it's very laggy. I'll try that, thanks. :)

Here is a little terrain fix for everyone

Extract this file into Overgrowth\Data\Textures\Terrain\grass_beach folder and your terrain looks like grass beach level again
