[MAP] Creed by main_antagonist/FIXED

Post by main_antagonist » Sat Jun 23, 2012 4:57 am

I couldn't put as many characters into the map as I'd have liked the map is pretty laggy in some areas as it is.. (inside the bar) hits about 15fps while outside in the town you'll average about 30fps hopefully some of you get enjoyment out of it :wink:

Inspiration assassins creed obviously :lol:

P.S don't forget to generate the shadows and the nav map!!!

[EDIT: Correct Creed.xml located in some strange directory sorry about the mix up the file should be correct now.] :shock:

This is the correct file because when I renamed the file it worked, so I've tested it this time instead of assuming the file name would be enough. Seemingly I have multiple instances of the file one located in my program files and the correct file was located under a virtual store directory?? The file size it 600+kb larger than the 100+kb file I uploaded originally.. I messed up sorry about the mix up everybody. :oops:

Okay I loaded up the map and it's just the old cat temple, you put the wrong .xml in here to download.

we think there might be some sort of cache problem on my pc ... the map was removed from the levels directory and still loads on my pc... to further complicate things I renamed my creed files the .xml and .nav files to wtf.nav and wtf.xml and it does load up the default map without any of my content so I can't figure out where creed.xml is working from if it's not in the my documents directory of wolfire or within the programfiles directory :oops:

Easiest way to find this file would be to make a search in your computer and insert your level name there.

Worked like a charm for some reason it was no where near where I expected o_O
The directory it was located in was;
\\****-pc\Users\****\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Wolfire\Overgrowth\Data\Levels
**** is my name just trying to stay anonymous :)

excellent map. I wish I could play it at more than 4 fps though. I wonder why it lags so badly. as soon as i hit tab and enter slowmo, the framerate quadruples! oh well. Great work.

The map seems nice but my framerate is really bad. You should start by removing all civilian NPCs since they aren't really important for gameplay but can contribute quite a bit to the lag.

Can't wait to see more maps like this! (And ones that run well... but that's not your fault...)

Added to Menu Mod.

When I finish my studies which should be after the 13th this month I'll continue the other map I was working on, I just felt that the default map was lacking something and I tried to create a town around it which ended up with me almost changing it completely lol :lol:

The one I'm working on is from a fresh slate so it hopefully won't have the same fps issues as this one. I appreciate the comments and feedback guys :D and many thanks to Anton :wink:
