[Hotspot] Wipeout hotspot +2 other hotspots!

Heya, just finished a quick hotspot which I think people might find pretty useful. The hotspot allows the mapper to create areas that ragdollize the player, and optionally deal damage. The ragdoll type can also be specified, along with damage dealt, upwards nudge force and ragdoll recovery time.

These hotspots are very useful for maps with long falls and similar stuff. AI-controlled characters will also be affected by this hotspot, preventing surviving enemies from breaking challenge levels.

Parameter description:
Damage dealt: The ammount of damage dealt to a character that comes into contact with this trigger, 1.0+ will kill the player.
Ragdoll type: The ragdoll type the triggering character will assume:
0 - Active falling
1 - Injured
2 - Limp
3 - Animation ragdoll

Recovery time: The time in seconds the character cannot be recovered by rolling or standing up.
Upward force: The force that the character is nudged with upwards upon triggering the hotspot. about 10000.0 gives a nice nudge.


Consult the readme for installation and usage information.


EDIT: Added two new hotspots that lets you launch players by setting their velocity, and recover from a forced ragdolled state automaticly. Combine these with the wipeout hotspot to create some interesting flinging scenarios.

Heh, nice. I can see that being really useful :) Isn't there something like that when you jump through a bush?

Yeah, that works in a similar way.

EDIT: Added two new hotspots. Going to post a level demonstrating the combination of the three hotspots soon.

the others do but this one doesn't mmmh

That's weird, any error messages or anything?

You could try to download it via the SUM-launcher's community content manager. That way you will be able to access 'em via the editor interface.

The recovery and wipeout hotspots don't show any parameters when you access their settings in the editor and they have no effect. You can run straight through them.

That's what i did, twice!

And what the dude above me said. Maybe they broke with the new alpha?

Does anyone know how to fix this? It's also not working for me in a200.
I hope someone fixes this, it's a very helpful hotspot.

Updated/ fixed the hotspot script files.
All of those 3 hotspots should work flawlessly with a200 now

Got it for the wipeout and it isn't working.

I've set the hotspot for ragdoll 1 and with the damage on 1 so they don't get up. I run in the box for the hotspot and nothing happens. Is this a known issue or am I just doing something wrong?

Playing in the latest alpha btw.

Actually, no one has pointed this out, that there is a problem with wipeout hotspot again.
I will look into it and see if i can fix this some time later.

Looks like you are right, it works for me to. even when i change ragdoll types from 0 to 3 it still works.
