[MAP] The cave[UPDATE]

Post by akazi » Sun Sep 02, 2012 6:10 pm

I made a new level, it's a cave. What else should I tell ya? I might make updates to this level, we will see.
A video of the map. I did a few edits to the level after I uploaded the video so it doesn't look exactly like it is in the video but much the same. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wylfw8bVEHA&feature=plcp [EDIT] I made a small update, not much more. New pics below. :D

For it being my first time officially using blender it was a bit of a learning curve, the real problem I was having was trying to export the object for some reason it wouldn't let me make a new folder to put the object in and it also was giving me an access denied error, but I figured it out after a while. And yes in blender. :D I also followed Silverfish's terrain cutting tutorial.

Great map just a quick question.I'm working on a map using silverfishes' tutorial and was just wondering when you upload the xml how does the new holes work for others without using the edited one in there files? cause the coding in the xml links to your own documents. :?:

You need to provide the documents you create as well as the map itself. So, akazi included a file that I've also added to the menu mod. You should try to make sure you put it in a place that makes sense, and will be easy to replicate on other machines.

Ideally, it should be at: Data/Custom/<yourusername>/<yourproject>/Models - Or something similar to that.

Nice map. There's something about caves that brings out the adventurer in me. All that is missing is a huge dragon to slay.

Yes, I'm eagerly waiting for the huge fire breathing dragon mod.

There is more to the level now, some new rocks and enemies. Most of the changes are outside the cave.
