[MAP] the deathly forrest V3 [UPDATED] 1/13/14

in this map you are in a forrest in the fall type season. there are 6 creatures that lurk in this forrest and they hunger for fresh meat! (the creatures are a custom character i made).

your objective in this map is what else SURVIVE the horrors that await you and kill all the creatures before they kill you!!!!

i will make a video of the map if asked too, i will not upload pics because screen shots don't work on mac and i hate the quality of the screen shot the computer its self can take. so a video is the best i can do.

edit: i have some screen shots (i found a res i liked) so here they are!

EDIT: in version 2 there is now two objectives. you must kill all 6 creatures and bring back the 5 bone objects they are guarding. you must bring them to the shrine that you spawn next to and take them in side. (NOTE: the bone objects are a custom object i made but it does not cause any lag to the map.).

EDIT 1/13/14: now in Version 3 the monsters of the forrest have waypoints so they walk around the forrest instead of being the same place every time.

Holy crap, this level is AWESOME. Those creatures are freaking terrifying too...how they move...god it almost gives me shivers. If Prototype took place in the Overgrowth universe, that's what the mutant-rabbits would look like.


That's really cool how you made the level too...the endless trees/ferns. It looks amazing, and it runs super smooth. GREAT WORK!

thanks, ya the tree line thing was a lot of testing to see how bad it lagged when i upped how far away the trees spawned compared to how far you could see a cross the map. luckily i got it just right and with little to no lag.

Nice use of the details objects.

Unfortunately, you didn't include the new skull_mini_staff so I had to use v1 instead of v2 when I put it in the menu mod.
Also, I just want you to know, the menu mod will be updated very soon, and you will need to keep all custom objects and files inside the Data/Custom folder. You'll notice that I updated all your files in the menu mod to redirect inside that location. (I redirected the Animations from LePetitDocteur into his custom folder too, and will be updating a lot of files in the next few weeks to be more consistent.)

sorry about not including the item file. that is fixed now so it should work.

made a some small changes to the map, hope it adds some lively hood to the map.
