[MAP] Waterfall Cave

Post by akazi » Sat Oct 19, 2013 1:39 am

Done with what I can finish, for some reason alpha 202 is causing me some frame rate drops that I before never had, and this level is one of them. I didn't get to finish all that I wanted but it's more or less done anyways. And honestly I just wanted to be done making it.
A few quick screenshots I have.

Note: you have to have Markus's river fight, Anton's Codex runes, and Steelraven's launcher hotspot. All you can get through the SUMlauncher. Also if you want to play it in alpha 201, then you need the new dog character. So you can just get the changes from alpha 202 and add them in 201.

finally played it and its really cool, especially the waterfalls, but the jumpwater feels strange

i think normal maps on the water surfaces or drops falling off the roof would be awesome, but idk if its possible

I think the jump water is better then just falling through it. :) And I do wish there was dripping as well, but it's what I can work with. I haven't been working on it for a few days though.

the lvl looks amazing...nice done

I think the frame drops cuase the amount of plants in the lvl...lots of moving objects like the grass or trees use to affect the frame rate,

but seriously...fantastic level.

Yeah, the lag is really bad in a202. If you still have a201 it should run a lot better.

You can always download old alphas in their own alpha topics as long as download links are working.
