Running Receiver under Linux

Post by kotakotakota » Tue Jul 24, 2012 8:14 pm

Hi there!

I modified an existing playonlinux script just slightly and ended up getting Receiver to work fine under Linux through Wine.

Here's the link to the minimal instructions, as well as the script itself: http://tinker.kotaweaver.com/blog/?p=223

The script crashed because of the " ' " in "Wolfire's" at line 20

Thanks. I updated the script to fix it. I just removed all of them because when I tried to escape it, it still didn't work because there were other problems that I had missed

I just removed that one, and it worked. The others should stay where they are.

Thanks a lot Kota*3, it is finally working, makes me very happy
I don't see any magic in that script, so the solution is just the specific wine version 1.4-rc4-raw3 ?

Yes, that's all there is to it. I also found that to be a bit surprising.
