Receiver: How do I reset the controls back to defaults?

Post by Linfosoma » Mon Sep 03, 2012 11:01 pm

Hi, I made the mistake of changing Receiver's controls to something I found more intuitive, what I didnt realize is that these changes are not reflected on the in-game control list, and that there's no way to reset them back to defaults from the launcher menu. Furthermore, the "reset to defaults" button on the menu seems to do nothing at all.

I tried looking all over and I can't seem to find where these settings are saved. Deleting the game didnt help, it's not on my docs, or even in a hidden folder on the app data folder, where do I look?

Lastly, if it's possible I would to have both a reset binds button on the launcher and the changed binds reflected on the in-game HUD on a future release.

Thanks for reading.

The information is probably in the windows registry.
if you are familiar with the registry look here.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\David\Receiver
get rid of any values in there

Cool! I had the same question, and sure enough my custom key bindings WERE in the registry. I always feel like such a BA when I fire up regedit. 8)

Really? You're so disgusted by my pitiful sense of accomplishment that you had to try to humiliate me? Or did you just want my awe and respect for your (implied) superior knowledge and skill?

Tell you what, let's trade:
You teach me the "high tier" way to edit my key configuration in a $5 computer game, and I'll teach you the why and how of being decent.

This made my day. Faith in humanity restored.
