So, I purchased receiver on steam today, and I'm having trouble with the lighting map. Specifically, there isn't one. The light sources don't give off any lighting at all; not even the flashlight works. All I can see is my gun and vague outlines of the world around my character. Please help.

I'm using a lenovo thinkpad:

OS: Windows 8
Processor: Intel (R) Core(TM) i7-3517U CPU @1.90Hz 2.40 GHz (dual core)
Installed memory: 8.00GB (7.82GB useable)
System type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Graphics chip: Intel HD Graphics 4000
DX version: 11

I have installed all of the latest drivers. No change. This is really bugging me. Please help a guy out.

Im not a guru in any shape or form, but I'll look around to help out. I was in your situation when I bought Don't Starve and it wouldn't work on my mac. No one helped. Ill try helping best I can though. If I find a solution I'll post it here.

I'm having this problem as well. You seem to have the same Graphics Card as me so I'm assuming this is an issue with HD4000. I had updated my drivers as well and I am thinking about seeing the source code to see if there is anything we need to modify specifically for our particular card. I'll keep you updated on anything I find.

Have you tried re-installing, defragging and validating the cache on steam? If not then I would do those. If neither of the other two work then re-install, don't do it as your first solution.

EDIT: Also, I think you could try fiddling with your quality, trying all of the settings.

I have tried reinstalling and validating. Receiver doesn't have a defrag cache option, but the problem isn't slowdown anyway.

Have you tried changing the quality around? I remember having loads of visual glitches on games and lower the quality would fix them. I would assume a re-install would be the best option anyway.

I have tried all of the graphical settings, at all resolutions (which took some time). Sadly, there was no change.

I think I may have found something. In the output log files I found this.

The referenced script on this Behaviour is missing!

After doing some more research on Unity developing, it seems to be a common with Unity games. I don't understand why it happens, but it does have to do with objects not appearing like they are supposed to. I'd say either people who are familiar with editing source or the developers are going to have to fix this as I have found no easy fix to it. If anyone believes this may be incorrect (hopefully it is and there is an easy fix) please say so. I'd really like to play this game the way it's supposed to be played. Not seeing anything is suffering.

I've sent an email to the developer.

In the meantime, the issue is still not fixed, so if anyone has any advice, or can speak code like I can't, your comments are still greatly appreciated.
