Hey guys,
I was so inspired after playing Receiver that I made my own handgun simulator thing, check it out

You can play it here;
It uses mouse gestures instead of hotkeys to do things, just press R to go in and our of 'handling mode'

Great job!
This is really interesting. I hope you're planning on polishing/expanding it, the idea is really great. And in 3 days? Pretty damn impressive, I'd say.

First of all, nice work man! This is pretty cool.
I actually had a chance to play this and it was fun!
I like the idea of dragging the magazine from your magazine pouch and inserting it into your weapon by mouse.
Now, what I'd REALLY like to see, is a rifle, with a long-range shooting course.
I can imagine pulling the bolt with the mouse, and it is such a good feeling.
Maybe even adjusting the magnification on the rifle. ho ho ho... yes. I like that idea.
Now, keep in mind, these are pretty high expectations, so I don't intend for you to do them unless you want to.
That would be AMAZING. I also fell off the map a few times with my derpy-ness :P

As everyone else has said, amazing work. Since you're just using a single cylinder as combination cartridge/bullet, being able to pick them back up and reload them into the magazines would be nice.

dude this things awesome, some minor errors / glitches and the mouse movement when in reload mode feels laggy but i still like it. i mean only using the gun is fun, thats in no other game like that

i made a receiver mod based on this idea, heres the link: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=25414

Will you be working on this? perhaps turn it into something like a multiplayer game? This would be more fit for a Multiplayer FPS than Receiver.

I have started working on a multiplayer game with proceedural reloading yes.
However I will not be using the mouse gestures as controls. After exploring my prototype I found that mouse controls are just far too awkward to use under any kind of pressure, when you are shooting at enemies in multiplayer there is no room at all for an interface this frustrating.

My new model uses keys, but it's much simpler and more intuitive than the keys in Receiver (I think anyway)

You can see a video of it here;
