Mouse Controls/Gestures in receiver update5

Post by Thomason1005 » Sat Feb 01, 2014 2:22 pm

Yo mouse controls are here, original idea came from viewtopic.php?f=17&t=18226 i think
everything is working as it should, so i announce it finished
heres a vid:

Installation:
copy these files in your receiver game Folder:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/qh589clqocy4m ... verMod.zip
or take these for the unity project:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/yxvexrg4oo579 ... dFiles.zip

Features:
-hold x button to go to mouse Mode, press rmb to modify the parts
-drag the hammer to cock it
-click mag release to remove mag / cylinder release to open cylinder
-click safety thing to toggle safety
-click on slide, hold an move mouse to move the slide (drag)
-click slide lock to release a locked slide
-click auto mode switch to toggle it
-insert bullets in the revolver by clicking on empty chambers
-click on the bullets in the upper left corner to put them in a mag
-click the top bullet of a mag to remove it

-drag extractor rod to remove bullets from the revolver
-drag an opened cylinder to close it again
-when dragging magazine on gun you can insert it
-dragging the gun or a mag over an empty inventory slot makes it snap there, its put in the slot when you release the mouse there
-decock a hammer by rightclicking on it, then pressing lmb
-you can click inventory slots to put items there / take them out
-you can drag mags out of the invertory into the gun
-you can drag mags and guns from one inventory slot to another
-gun barrels smoke when multiple shots are fired quickly
-drag the cylinder to rotate it (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfsLJpZmh2g)
-check the chamber by pressing t, then drag the slide back
-in the options you can enable hip firing
the key controls are still all working

known bugs:
-slide cant be moved anymore without reclicking once its completly pulled back
-dragging a locked slide unlocks it

ive compiled with the trial version of unity, so it has the trial version text and a unity logo on startup, if anyone has the pro version, feel free to compile it and upload it.

heres a screenshot because you absolutely cant see anything special on it. And one more with a smoking gun barrel

ive updated the files, the revolver is now completely usable just with mouse controls

you have to right-click the things now as left-click resets the mouse cursor which isnt fun and i couldnt find the reason
its not bad as you now can fire the gun while modifying it.

new stuff:
-you can close the revolver cylinder by pressing the cylinder release, this isnt how it should be but its working
-you can insert revolver bullets by clicking the emty chambers
-the revolver extractor is working, you can drag it however you want
-colt hammer is working, hammers are now dragged instead of just clicked
-on the glock auto mode can be toggled by clicking it

update 2:
-drag an opened cylinder to close it again
-when dragging magazine on gun you can insert it
-dragging the gun to the bottom of the screen puts it in inventory
-dragging a mag over an empty inventory slot makes it snap there, its put in the slot when you release the mouse there
-decocking a hammer works with mouse controls
-you can click inventory slots to put items there / take them out
-you can drag mags out of the invertory into the gun
-gun barrels smoke when multiple shots are fired quickly

That was a great idea for the web designer. I am always wondering before how did they do it on the mouse.

update3:
-you can drag the gun in whichever slot you want
-inserting mags is now smoother, you can remove them again unless its snapped in
-dragged objects now always stay underneath the mouse
-mag is now underneath the mouse when dragging it out of the inventory
-gun is rotated when dragged around (not sure if thats a keep)

i was trying some screenspace reflections too, but they arent really working yet, im not that good in math

update4:
-reduced gun rotaion when its dragged around
-added option that enables hip firing
-tape player is now on z, modifying gun on x
-added files that i hadnt put in the zip yet
revolver:
-cylinder can be spinned
-you can cock the hammer when the cylinder is opened (hope this is correct)
-it now always fires the upper round instead of the one to the right (david, why what this... wtf)
update4.1:
clicking sound when spinning revolver cylinder

update 5:
-click a bullet in a mag to remove it, click a bullet in the inventory to put it in the mag, its not as intuitive, but this way you can remove bullets
-you can drag the gun out of the inventory and into another inventory slot
-added help line for mouse controls, corrected tape player button in help screen
