Will there Be Voice Acting in Lugaru 2?
This May have been asked, but I don't care...
I was gonna ask if the Dialogue in Lugaru 2 will be the same old Chirping and Barking. Or is the Dialogue going to be Speech like Humans?
If so, Have you got the voice actors Sussed?

Well I ask because I have a Reasonable amount of Skill speaking and I was told I should get into Voice acting.
I know that Lugaru is going to be a big deal here, and I want to help some how with its progress...
If you guys out there are ever interested in asking, I will Volunteer (unless you have to put a bomb in my brain, then we'll start talking money )
I am Kind of Restricted country wise, and I only have Amadeus II on a Computer in my room as a Sound Studio, But I will see if I can find some of my work.

It's the same problem amateur localization has: To reach a professional quality, you'd have to put a lot of work into it. And without experience, it's really hard to do convincing voice acting. I know what I'm talking about, I was narrator in a dance theater. It's far more work than you'd think, and without voice training, it'll sound strange.
Besides, making this in different places is a problem in itself because the sound quality will differ at different recording studios.
I wouldn't like voice acting in L2 anyway - chirp chirp is more unique, more amusing, more realistic, ...

I don't think I've ever heard a rabbit make a noise...
But so long as there is a little more variation in the animal vocalisations I think I personally would prefer that. As Rudel_IC says, its more unique and fits with the anthropromorphic theme much better IMO than trying to put very human voices on very inhuman characters.
Its much easier to relate to them on their own terms, rather than feeling like they have forced or cheesy voicing.

One night I heard what sounded like a police or fire siren outside the window. I went out to see what it was, and found our cat with a rabbit kit in its mouth. The noise was coming from the rabbit: "EEEEOOOooooow EEEEOOOooooow EEEEOOOooooow..." I'd have sworn it was a cop car.GaGrin wrote:I don't think I've ever heard a rabbit make a noise...
I yelled at the cat, who dropped the kit at my feet and ran. The kit jumped straight up in the air twice, reaching the level of my eyes (about 66" or 1.67 meters), then dropped dead. Not sleeping: dead, deceased, a late rabbit, gone to the great warren in the sky....
Turns out there was a rabbit nest in the bushes. Over the course of the next few days, the cat cleaned it out, usually bringing the kits in the house and eating them in the living room while we were gone. Very fastidiously, too: no blood, no bones; just four small rabbit feet to mark the end of another innocent little leporid.
Never heard any other sounds, though one night I thought I heard a cat growl, followed by a high, chirpy voice saying, "Will I have to kill EVERYONE to make this CRUNCH!"
What an odd coincidence: I was a dancer in a oratorical theater!rudel_ic wrote:I was narrator in a dance theater.
Anyway, this comment, and the one where
inspired me to create more comix.rudel_ic wrote:...he'd favor the taste of a ten-year-old wine with a deep manly voice...
