WTF. Did they just ignore your email Jeff?

Edit: Oh wait they moved that to Lugaru 2. Then it's a good thing isn't it?

They have no lugaru videos posted as lugaru 2 anymore. Only lugaru 2 movement video.

Yeah, I think all they did was split Lugaru into Lugaru and Lugaru 2 and then messed with the video description a little bit.

Holy crap... 175k views. That is pretty impressive. All over an old tech demo.

If you read that thread it appears they are making something from it though. One of them says that one of the best videos to do that to is Lugaru...

Yeah it sounds like there is some kind of system that rewards people for watching videos, leaving reviews, etc. and the Lugaru movement test is one of the shorter "trailers" so a lot of people watch that over and over, hence why it is one of the most popular trailers on the site.

Works for me :)

Their talking about GTD (Gametrailers dollars). I've been a huge gametrailers fan even before they started the GTD system. Its pretty neat, I have like $5,350 right now. Most of it is from posting user movies, and getting them featured on the front page. I'm hoping to eventually get a DS from the marketplace, but that may take awhile.

EDIT: And no, theres nothing special about the Lugaru clip. You can't get more GTD or anything for watching that specific clip. Its the same as any of the other movies on their site.

Yeah and when I posted that, it was about 175,000 and then less than a week later it became 200,000. Now it has kinda slowed down a bit on 218,183 views, which is still higher than any other video on the top media list.

I think what's special about the Lugaru clip is that it's like 30 seconds long (27) and you can only make like 1 gtd per minute no matter what (you're pretty much making 1 gtd a minute because of the clip's timing. I think watching the ads also counts as the movie's length so it's actually like 1:07 for the clip to finish). Basically, You can just leave the Lugaru 2 video player on for like 2 and a half hours a day and get your maximum of 150 gtd (you can only get a maximum of 150 gtd per day for watching video game trailers).

360 games cost roughly 10,000 gtd (Crackdown)
last-gen games cost 7,000 gtd (Kingdom Hearts 2)
DS Light costs 18,500 gtd
Premium 360 is 50,000 and ps3 is 75,000

Shirts are between 800-1300 gtd

Well...actually that wouldn't work. They only give 1 GTD for each window, and thats besides the 1 minute rule.

See, when the GTD system was first released, people abused it by having the main page video window loop. So they made it so 1 GTD is only given once in a single window.

Whoa, so even if I watched like a bagillion movies in the GT player, i'd only get 1 gtd? Oh god damnit!

That means that I'll have to open the window, watch a movie, close the window, open up a new movie, every time to get money.

Yes, if you use the same window. People would just open one video and leave, letting it loop on and on. So gametrailers changed it so that if you want another dollar you have to be at your system and manually open another trailer.

It works, since thats really what your supposed to do.
