is there any reason you want it? Maybe if they made the hotkey apple+shift+h. I would hit it on accident and then die.

True!

Well I donno, it's always useful. If you're supposed to be working and your parent/boss comes by, it's nice to have that hot key.

Oh, you mean like a real "hide" key. I thought you were talking about something like minimize, even though there is already a key to do that (actually, do macs have that key? Windows uses practically any function to hide the application).
I'm pretty sure it's not a good idea to be playing this game at work, it's too hard to get in and out without it taking over your mind (I dunno, I don't have a computer for work... or a job for that matter)

yeah,
My parents do get a little upset when i'm playing Doom 3 when "doing homework". But there has to be a reason why most games dont include a hide option, i think that it could slow down the processor too much or do something... Not to mention that they'd have to code that once you hit the hide option it then pauses the game until your return to the game.

The problem is more related to thread synchronization and graphics issues when switching back to the game, at least afaik.

Then why not just switch the polarities!? That always works in the movies!

Which would be so. difficult. right? I mean... you'd have to add a pause function, and then call whatever cmd-tab/alt-tab does.
