With a Garrote, not a hell of a lot. thats why assassins use a garrote.

and to the Multiplayer game idea, i say Bring out the old game Bloodbowl
at the start of the game an NPC wolf or rabbit gets his head ripped off by the ref, some times they have to stomp off the spine to make it less dangerous as its thrashing around. Im loving this idea, but chainsaws would be better.

Like a Penny Off a Skyscraper
You successfully booted an enemy off an edge, using their body to kill enemies below you.

Strike!
You kill a group of enemies by knocking another into them.

Double Play!
You kill two enemies in quick succession by throwing the same knife.

Triple Play!
You kill three enemies in quick succession by throwing the same knife.

You weren't killing them fast enough.
Awarded when you steal a kill from your team mate.

When I say charge, I mean CHARGE!!!
Awarded when you use your team mate as a weapon to kill your opponents.

Its an honor to die for me...
Awarded when you use your teammates as a shield.

Another idea:
Being able to grab enemies and use them in combat...and I don't mean just kicking, knocking, or punching them into other enemies. For example, you wrap your garrotting wire around an enemies neck, gut punch him a few times, kick him in the gut, sending him flying towards a group of enemies, then you pull him back towards you, dragging him back the otherway (yo-yo style...), slamming him back on the ground behind you.

It seems improbable that garroting wire is that long or that durable.. but that sounds like great fun :D And fun > realism, especially in a game that features anthrobunnies.

ROFL!!!
Catch and Release!
Rewarded for catching an enemy with your garrotting wire and flinging them into the air without attacking them.

How can you gut punch some one who you are garroting?
You garrote from behind!

Evidently neither of you has ever punched anyone in the back of the head.

So? Originally I was thinking you could wrap the cord around their neck from the front...yes, I know it would normally be impossible...but if the cord was extra long...it might look cool.

I'm not sure I like the idea of wire in L2, even for garrotes. My vision is of a lower tech society, albeit one with armor and metal weapons (although I have reservations there too).

Anyhoo, I might give up my objections if you could decapitate your victim with a well-timed, strong garrote snap. Even if you used a natural fiber like sisal, you could still pretty much snap the bones and crush the cartilage, even if you couldn't cut through the flesh.

Of course, you could add broken chunks of obsidian in a resin coating and turn it into a giant flexible hacksaw blade.

As for frontal attacks with a cord weapon, I'd like to suggest a completely different approach. Combine the garrote with a throwing and striking weapon, and whaddaya have: a two ball bola, known as an avestrucera o nanducera!

You could use it like a nunchuck (hapkido actually teaches you how to make and use something like this in upper levels), throw it at legs or necks, hold one end and wrap it around someone's neck from front or back and jerk them into your grasp, or hold both ends and use it to strangle someone, or break their neck.

I'm liking this idea.

They can be made from primitive materials, or metal if you like: I bet they'd all be pretty effective, and very versatile. I know I wouldn't want to face one in the hands of an expert.
