I just thought of something, it's probably been suggested already, but what if you could dig into the ground or snow or sand and hide in there, that'd be awesome seeing some wolf just climb out of the snow shake the snow out of it's fur and kick your ***, lol

I want to see an FPS game with this ground ability:
You launch big boom weapon. When it gose off, you make a real crater in the ground, not one of these painted on blast marks.
This Explosion mark can act as cover as well.

THAT would be as cool as your idea

The problem with Red Faction was that they never really utitlized that ability. You couldn't blow holes in walls with locked doors, so you were still forced to find the key. Blowing holes into cave walls would occasionally lead to little secret areas, but usually not worth the effort of the rocket or explosive ammo. On occasion there were areas where you could blow holes in bridges to drop tanks and soldiers to their doom, but again, it wasn't always worth the effort. In multiplayer it was sometimes useful because you could make yourself a mini-bunker or dig your way to the flag in CTF.

Actually, although it may have been Red Faction II, the geo-thingy (gah, I had the name last time I looked at this thread and now it's gone) was actually fairly necessary to get through with a minimum of pain and hassle.

Geo-deformation seems like an appropriate name for… Well, terrain deformation. :P

How odd. I bought that game just last Thursday for 4 euros...but then on Tuesday I bought GTAIV so Red Faction's progress has been put on hold. Fantastic game though, if slightly cheesy at times. I was like "FOUR EUROS! I'D BE STUPID NOT TO BUY IT!" The weapons in it are class. The engine was called GeoMod too. It made multiplayer really cool.

Well at one stage in a cave you have to blow a hole with some remote charges into the side of a vent going through the wall, so there were times when it was necessary but not often.

Yeah it's pretty fun. It has things some could complain about, which is perfectly alright, but I think what's good about the game is so good you forget about the bad.

Adding real world weather effects. Say it's raining, light drops of water go on your screen, and your fur droops and gets wet.

Snowing: you could easily slip and slide, even turn nature around and throw snowballs to make enemies flinch :D
