Just the fact that there still is hope makes me happy ! ;o
Plus lets not forget Overgrowth is a very modable/malleable game and we might see an MP mod coming from the community someday, if not from the devs.
after all we've seen good MP mod emerging from fan community on such a game as GTA San Andreas, which is probably way harder to exploit than Overgrowth.

Personally I would love to have online multiplayer just a s a option to have. That would be awesome in this game in my opinion.

Yes, there is a multiplayer mod. Last time I tried it, it worked pretty well. I don't think combat was working though, so it was more of parkour multiplayer. (That may have changed)
