When I saw this, I thought of this Okami character

And also a tiger. I don't know if I am in the lines of OG characters, but humanoid tigers; tougher and more heavily built than cats, I'd rather see them in half-hidden monasteries, both wise and terrible in war, fighting with aerial and gracious staff and hast style.

Just a thought though.

Would hast happen to mean halberd? The google image results were even more random than usual, but one of the images was a halberd.

A halberd is a hast type weapon, so basically, yes.
Little update: I thought hast was the same in french and english; my mistake. I meant polearm.

Im back once again, it looks like you people want either capibaras or wombats in the game, i vote for wombats because they are in ratchet and clank. :D
I wonder what would they do as fighters though?

Due to requests i just have to say this. For the existing races there shouldn't just be domestic animals for them, there should be animals like tigers pumas and leopards for cats, and many types of dogs that exists in the wild like dingoes.
i edited the op. :)

ROBOTS, ones that like have a gaint metal claw for one hand and a hilariously usesless plunger for the other! Just joking, maybe foxes but I wouldn't want Overgrowth getting carried away. Maybe add one or two more races just to keep it with a "regional" feeling, so you get the sense of a small isolated area of the world. Maybe explore other races as the series progresses.

Foxes eh?

Wish granted! But he doesn't have much of a backstory nor does his race have a well defined place in OG. Although, if you dig through the dropbox of Aubrey's concept art, you'll find a couple of pieces with foxes looking thievy and rogueish.

I thought about doing a goat character. I never did, but it sounded fun. I think that was the time when I did the otters... and they failed. Bad memories. Bad. I put so much effort into those color maps, you folks don't even know because they never worked! It's so sad
