Yeah, they're still adding lots of features to the engine, so actual gameplay and levels and things still need a fair amount of time invested in them.

David has very little spare time to dedicate to Lugaru, so progress is slow, unfortunately (although strangely, much faster than professional game studios.)

Well, obviously Wolfire doesn't have to worry about maintaining a multi-million dollar industry...or trying to earn equally much instead of making a quality game.

I think he means that because you aren't a big company with a deadline, you won't have to worry about getting a game out to make money, you can take your time and make a good game.
