Gun powder was not "invented" as such.
I believe it was Discovered. and people who claimed to be Wizards or magicians found this and used it for an Illusion. people who dropped a hand full of it would create sparks. i think they may have had small grains of flint or something in them to make them puff up into smoke.

that could be cool if you could use things like that to Create a cloud of dust and to the enemy you "VANISHED" when relly you just dropped a thing of Gunpowder and Ran like mad fire. get it, mad, fire?

P.s. The game isnt going to 'revolve' around the fact that humans all died out. There is just going to be one or two hints of the fact in the game. I think its a cool idea, It explains how the hell rabbits began to give wolves trachectomy's

Yes I did. WOuld have been neat if you also put white bars across it as well. making the asterdoid lyke firey would have been a bit neat, but whatever, we get the idea and that's all that matters. Maybe there was bacteria on the asteroid that got into the bunnies/wolves systems and it changed them and crap? I dunno.

that sounds like the Tv show Thunder stone and the game Command and Conquer Tiberian sun.
yet Thunder stone was a buffer. you held it and you could do Extraordinary things. how ever the game CC-TS. if a troop stood in a field of Tiberium he Mutated into a monster of some kind and then they would find another and start to mate and turn into a Killer mutant.
