The usual problem is a poor graphics card, but since it runs in my GeForce GTS 250, your card should be fine. Other than that, I have Intel Pentium D 2x2.80 GHz and 4 GB of RAM. Overgrowth runs and is playable, but some maps (especially those with heavy vegetation) lag so I usually avoid them.

GTS 450? No problem as far as I can tell. I have a GTS 250 (512mb) like Endoperez and the game runs pretty well for me. I also have a Core2Duo E6400 2.13 ghz cpu and 3gb of DDR2 ram.

:?: My GTS 250 won't work, it says it doesn't support shaders.

Hi everyone, i would really like to get overgrowth so i was wondering if it will run on my laptop. I know laptops generally aren't as good as pc's, but not always so i'll give the specs. I do not know EXACTLY what the specs are as my laptop is a hp pavilion g6, and anyone who has one will understand it's near impossible to find out which one you have because they have so many models of it... confusing, but i know most of the basic things.

I know it has 4gb of RAM.

Windows 7 (possibly home premium (as i said it's hard to find the specs of my model as i don't know what it is))

I've heard that all the g6 ones are very similar, so the cpu is either this or similar: Intel Core i3 i3-380M / 2.53 GHz

Dual-Core

500 GB HDD

1366 x 768 ( HD )

Intel HD Graphics

Total available graphics memory: 1696 MB

64 bit java

64 bit operating system

Source of these specs : http://www.cnet.com/laptops/hp-pavilion ... 44063.html

Sorry for not knowing much, but any ideas of it it can run would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Aidan

P.s - If it help, i play minecraft and i can play it with pretty good fps and without mods i can play with decent fps on far render distance.

It seems like your graphics card is Intel 4500 MHD. In this list:

http://wiki.wolfire.com/index.php/Supported_Video_Cards

that card is listed as having a VERY POOR rating, the game played at less than 1 FPS. That'd make the game basically unplayable. It's from an old alpha, but I don't think the recent optimization in Alpha 196 would be enough to make the game run well.

So it most probably will run on that computer, but too slowly to be fun. :(
