Dear Mr. Rosen
Dear Mr. Rosen
You're a freakin' genius. You might sit there and go "Ah, hes just saying that." but I want you to know that I seriously mean it.
You have managed to produce a game that is so good in the alpha stage, that people will complain about paying 30 dollars for it because they don't realize that it is not anywhere near done yet.
You were offered jobs at Crytek and Blizzard before most people can get they're first job at Pizza Hut.
You created a 3D game engine that renders an outdoor scene so well that it doesn't need fancy post processing effects to look beautiful.
You've produced a ragdoll system more advanced ,in both its appearances and functionality, than what most AAA titles use these days or will be using for the next 3-5 years.
You produced the single best blood effects yet to be seen in a video game, at least to my knowledge. I mean, really? Are you desensitized to photorealistic gore and violence yet? I hope so.
You did all of this stuff, for the most part, alone. Like a baws.
You develop cross-platform. The day you finished college is the day Linux users should be petitioning for an global holiday to be on.
You inspired me, and I can only speak for myself here so if anyone else feels the same way they should pipe up, to begin seriously developing video games and moving towards that as a career and long term goal for myself.
I just wanted to drop you a big huge thanks for doing what you do and for being so awesome!
ALSO: Don't think I forgot the other guys! Aubrey, John, Jeff, Phil (RIP. God damn you MIT), Wolfie. I wanted to tell you all how much I appreciate you too. You're all a hugely inspiring and awesome gang and I wanted to thank you all for being just plain awesome too.

Re: Dear Mr. Rosen
He's right, David. Sorry. You do deserve a good applause, and you're one of the best programmers I've ever see-.. well, heard. All your alpha videos include voice only.
Keep it up. Especially the online PvP part *cough*
Nah just make the game how you think is best.
P.S if you've got time, I'd like you to teach me all you know. Even if it devours the psyche of normal men. Kaythanksbye.

In short,
We <3 You David.
We <3 You David.
Re: Dear Mr. Rosen
And unlike with other guys, I love you in a non gay way.
I love you in a gay way too.
I love you in a gay way too.
Re: Dear Mr. Rosen
That's funny because we all know that everything you say is consistently ass-backwards.
...
Not that I'm intolerant or anything...
Edit by Aaron:
I've placed the image in a spoiler tag, as it contains touchy language. Please try to keep the rules in mind (I understand that it's all in good fun)

Re: Dear Mr. Rosen
Well, I guess it was about time the rules were used again. I wasn't here yet the last time they were. So are we allowed to put inappropriate images (not porn) in spoilers, and say beforehand that it is inappropriate?
Re: Dear Mr. Rosen
I'm not really sure what the exactly policy is / should be, the rules were posted quite a while ago (almost 7 years). I just felt that the content was a bit out of place, and perhaps might not seem terribly welcoming to newcomers.adwuga wrote:Well, I guess it was about time the rules were used again. +1
I can't write anything even half beautiful as Korban did, so +1 again
I have never treated you like an idol, but if we approach case from this side
