I have my ps3 controller synced and everything I got it working on my labtop but for some reason no matter what I do to the config.txt for overgrowth it doesnt change anything. Not even fullscreen mode or dimensions. I don't know what I could be doing wrong im just assigning the buttons to the desired action it doesnt update itself in the game to match what I want.

First please buy the game. And then ask help in the SPF forum

I feel like I should lock this thread with my EPIC MOD POWERS so that someone can't accidentally post help on here. I've done it few times (Like a dork), so maybe... just to be safe. I just have this weird itch in the back of my mind that something is gonna go wrong...
Anyways, yeah. Preorder the game and you're bound to get loads more help, as most of the folks in the SPF are familiar with fixes for the bugs, errors and setup.

yeah I'd lock it if I could to prevent the typical questions as to why they're such a terrible person to rob a couple of nice people blind.

I torrented it so I could see if it would run on my piece of crap labtop. I would buy it with a big smile on my face if I knew I could configure it to fit a controller. Since the guys who made this didnt make a demo. QUIT BEING BUTTHURT IF YOU DONT GIVE AN EASY TRIAL

There's not enough of a game to make a demo yet... the game is still in Alpha. Once the game is closer to being complete, they will release one, but to do it now, would mean releasing something that is not representative of the final game. The team does offer a no questions asked refund if you would like to try the game, and are not happy with it, so testing purposes is really not a valid excuse (even if people rationalize it that way all the time.)

To answer your question though, I use both a PS3 and Xbox360 controller to play the game, and setup is easy as long as your computer recognizes either controller to begin with.

Hey thanks for being nice about this. I understand what your saying its just not that easy to convince my mother to let me buy something online that might not work. My controller is recognized its just that the game doesnt change its controls Ive tried changing the keyboards aswell but it doesnt work

We're not being butthurt, Mr. We just don't approve of people pirating a game made by a group of guys we interact with on a weekly basis, at least. We've all got a lot of love and respect for Wolfire, and don't take people stealing the alphas well.

Understood I got to put myself into other peoples shoes. But I wasn't lying about buying it with a smile on my face. I finally figured out how to work it with a controller. I plan to pre-order this shortly

can someone please tell me how i can use my ps3 controller on overgrowth, my laptop recognises my ps3 controller!
