how to make patchy highlands have no lag

hello. im posting this because i play overgrowth on a friends computer. and the level reminds me of the first level of lugaru. i would want to play it buti only recieve 8 fps while playing it. while every other map/world runs at a steady 30. could someone tell me how to fix it.

Sorry but we can't help you in this forum, there is SPF forum for that. Since you can't access into SPF forum, let your friend ask that question in there. (If your friend don't speak English then let him copy and paste your question there)
I can tell you that there are some ways to get better FPS in that level, but i can give my help only in the SPF.

Edit: there are some better ways to get that level FPS up than editing settings
