Ye olden wolfire games

Post by Count Roland » Fri May 04, 2012 1:15 am

http://legacy.wolfire.com/SOS.sit Soul of steel, an unfinished game based on lugaru's engine, in which you play as coloured robots shooting guns at each other, has a rather fun crippling system. mac only.
http://www.whipassgaming.com/deadsectio ... sword.htmlSword, kind of like classic prince of persia's sword fighting. (if you guys ever played that for mac or nes or anything) feel free to double check my links here. also mac only, I believe all of his earlier games were.
http://downloads.zdnet.com/abstract.aspx?docid=406159and firepong 2, a fun variant of pong, feel free to discuss and play. Maybe later if I'm feeling motivated I'll try to get you guys some links to classic mac emulators or something, for now you're on your own.

Ye be a hero, Roland ol' Count.

I like how Sword is rather obviously a bit of a predecessor to GLFighters, and also how all of David's games seem to get more and more epic exponentially.

Yeah, that's the game I wanted, I got OS7 working, but it doesn't even have internet, still pretty cool, I'm working on OS9, hope it works, OSX is too big and troublesome to emulate on windows for one game.

EDIT: Got OS9 working, and in the readme it says the game supports it, but it keeps on crashing. Found a 400 mb OSX(jaguar), so I'm trying that. I'll link if it works.

EDIT2: Nevermind. Mr. Roland, have you got some tricks up your sleeve?

you might be able to play soul of steel, I never had to open up classic mode for it when I had my ibook g4, but the other two you'll probably have to get like basilisk or sheepshaver or something. (link when it's not two in the morning)

I tried sheepshaver, but I'm on a windows.

This thread makes me sad, especially after reading the readme. It sounds so awesome.
