That's just a user interface. Pretty packaging, but no meat inside.
It only shows what we knew already, that Wolfire team is interested in adding multiplayer. Whether or not it will get done and those graphics will some day be used in the game is a different matter.
Still, congrats on finding that. It is a rather old blog post, many people never notice it.

Overgrowth already has multiplayer.

If you were replying to my post, I was talking about servers - that is, online multiplayer. Overgrowth doesn't have that.

I'd really like to see this game take off in online multiplayer eventually. the moment i saw this game i immediately bought it. it has an enormous potential to be an extremely competitive game.
just throwing in my opinion =] although im not entirely sure how realistic this idea is because ive heard mixed opinions. at least theres 2 player currently, already a step in the right direction.
maybe if online isnt possible have something over LAN?? not sure if that makes a difference. but that would allow people to play with/against their friends over the same internet connection or over something like tungle.
excuse my noobishness =P

Multiplayer would be fun! And a player model list would be cool. like if theres more player models you want to be but theres too much for the number pad, a button to select one of MANY models. Like sharks. and weapon maker!
