Why Am I Here?
So, you've just bought Overgrowth, huh? And it turns out that you didn't know that you needed to make your forum account first in order to link them up, huh? Or maybe you've just typed the forum account name in wrong when you bought it.

Why Is This Here?
These are glorious instructions on what to do so that you, a legitimate customer of an amazing indie game company, can enjoy Overgrowth as well. They are here for you and you alone.

This is a very common issue with a very small set of very consistent solutions. In fact, there is really only one solution and it works every time.

The Instructions
If you typed in the forum account name wrong when preordering, or if you made your forum account after you preordered, not realizing that you need the account first in order to link them up, do the following:
+ Send a polite, detailed, well written email to [email protected] explaining what has happened and provide all of your relevant info.
+ That means all the receipt info for the transaction and your forum account username.

"pls ples plez help me i really love your game and all but i just want to play it but i cant because i messed up the account makin thing so just ples help me pls "

Why do I get these trolly vibes from that post? It's a bit TL;DR and unstructured, so I DR. I guess it's because of the smileys and the pink text. You should try structuring your text a bit with bold headers and well defined paragraphs.

Also, there's a typo in the title.

I would made it stiky before but i myself would liked this topic much more when you named it into "how to I preorder and I messed up my preorder" So think about this.

Derp typos, it was like 30 hours into my being awake.

Thanks for this thread. I feel like I made a major newbie mistake, and am now waiting impatiently for the good folks at Wolfire to wake up and fix my account.

I interpret this as "Say please and thank you only once, because then it is exhausting to read" (that would not be exhausting to read). So you might want to change that one.

I actually think that one is unnecessary to have at all (along with all other jokes), but I personally don't like trying to be funny when giving instructions to people, so that's just a matter of personal taste I guess.

Might want to combine those into something like this:

Instead of writing "forum account info" you might want to write "forum username", just to make sure people don't send their passwords.

Those are the things I could see right away.
Good initiative, we need a sticky on this matter.

There, did some changes and removed all humour. I hope you're happy Silverfish. The world just got a shade grayer, because of that. Because of you. Not that it's a problem or anything.
