Bears in overgrowth

Post by Ewad3 » Sun Jul 08, 2012 8:21 am

Now many of u guys want bears, but do you see how powerful the wolves are? Now bear is 17 times heavier and stronger than wolves so do u understand how unbalannced the game would be? Only the tiger (wich was shown to be included) could knock him off allthough bear is 3 times heavier than him. Sure its only what i think. Leave your arguments below, why do u think bears would be good :)

A fan by the name of Andrige drew this concept art about bears, and has modeled and rigged a bear model. However, he didn't get the exporter scripts working, so it doesn't work in Overgrowth yet.

Wait, tigers? You sure? All I've seen so far is rabbits, wolves, dogs, rats, and cats.
(Oops I forgot Whaleman, hope he's not pissed.)

He's probably talking about this blog post:

The additional races shown in that concept art, including tigers, have been scrapped.

People have been able to buy and download the game without having the forum preorderer tag for a few days now.

that makes me sad, it means we can no longer pick out people who deserve to be hated.

He was on IRC a few days ago asking for support while acknowledging he pirated the game and bragging about how he pirated other games too.

They can get it, but they can buy and download Overgrowth without ever doing it. You can't tell if a person is a preorderer, by looking at his forum account.

you must be new here

Anyways about the topic, if you take into consideration of weapons i think taking down a bear would actually be pretty easy.

THOUGH I HAVE NOT PLAYED THE GAME, NOR HAVE I PRE-ORDERED I am merely speculating on my experience with lugaru wolf fighting.

Yeah, it was hard to take down 3 wolves, but it was way easier with a sword thats for sure!

Bears would be a bit oafish I would imagine, so i think if you use the rabbits natural swiftness and a weapon it may be do-able.

Also if there is going to be any bears they will definitely be a fan mod so this topic kind of irrelevant anyways.

Well, until/unless the leg cannon gets nerfed, EVERY enemy is easy to deal with.
