Grand Theft Auto 5: Black Shades 2
Re: Black shades 2????? after lugaru 2????
heh, nah the essence of black shades is that you are a psychic bodyguard. That should still remain the premise for Black shades 2
Re: Black shades 2????? after lugaru 2????
Yeah. Psychic. Did anyone ever actually use the mode where you can zoom around in some other dimension or whatnot? I never found that too useful. The only times I switched to it was when I accidentally pressed the key bind, lol.
Re: Black shades 2????? after lugaru 2????
True, I never did either... But it's a great premise in theory, and it could have been done much better, so I think it would be cool for them to explore it more.Untadaike wrote:Yeah. Psychic. So I know this is a major bump, but they say it's always better to revive an old topic than to make a new one. I, for one, was instantly hooked by Black Shades' shooting system. Just killing people is fun on there because it takes skill and feels more realistic than "CROSSHAIR HERE = INSTANT KILL ACROSS 500 METERS' DISTANCE"
I know there's Black Shades for iPhone, but what about a Black Shades sequel for PC/Mac/Linux after the completion of Overgrowth? True, that's a long ways off, but I feel that Black Shades was extremely well-done. I find it funner to play than many modern First Person Shooters! The engine is all there- maybe some graphical updates and extra gameplay features (like various modes: a roaming-type mode ala Grand Theft Auto, survival/zombie survival mode, story mode, etc) and Wolfire could have a very exciting game!
You don't even need to stick to the whole "Defend the VIP" concept, because that does get stale. Some real linear missions or open-ended free-roaming gameplay would be fudge orgasmic. Not to mention that FPS games are generally more popular than games about anthropomorphic kung-fu bunnies.
To those of you who aren't sure about what I mean when I say "engine" and "game"- games can be made using game engines. For instance, the popular Source engine is what fuels games like Counterstrike, Half-Life, and L4D. Black Shades' engine would be great for making a new, separate game, since Black Shades is really just a technical demonstration.

Because if someone made a new thread about this, they would get yelled at to use the Search function.
Re: Black shades 2????? after lugaru 2????
I like this "BlackShades 2" idea, very, very much.
Why not just make graphical updates and missions, but keep the low-poly guys? The poly guys is what gave the game a unique charm.
And we could go and use a different title.

I don't know, if it's not a game in which you play an American Indian I feel somehow warrior shouldn't be used, no idea why, just feel that way cause I can.
