Low-Light Combat Mojam 2

Post by neviklink » Sat Mar 02, 2013 8:58 pm

Aubrey and David have been working hard on Low-Light Combat for mojam 2 so I made a steam group for the game so we can play together when it's done. http://steamcommunity.com/groups/lowlightcombat

This game is great!

Tis a shame the mechanics only work out well when you have some players online with you (like in any multiplayer game)

Sync works!

And... what can you do without a flash light? (F)

Descriptions from the Humble download page:

Low Light Combat is a multiplayer arena game in which nuclear-powered ninjas conduct wargames to decide world issues for the Illuminati. After traveling to a deserted ice cave in a nuclear submarine, the ninjas fight to the death to represent their owners' agenda.
The last ninja standing wins each round. The nuclear power source they use only lasts for sixty seconds at minimal usage, but they can replenish energy at a centrally-located nuclear charging station, or steal energy from opponents by killing them.

Default Controls:
WASD - move
left-click - attack
shift - run
space - jump
e - toggle laser flashlight
f - toggle traditional flashlight
c - crouch
t - chat
tab - display scoreboard

Tips:
- Make each shot count -- each one uses up 15 seconds of life
- Running uses four times as much energy as normal movement
- Use your sword by attacking while holding the 'run' key
- Just because you are in the dark doesn't mean you are hidden. Watch your silhouette!
- Beware of salt-water, your nano-augmentations have exposed circuitry.

This game is really really cool and fun, but David won't be adding in the levels Aubrey has made (there's an amazing spaceship dock one, a Japanese garden one, and an asteroid base one!) unless we play!
Come on in and let's shoot each other up!

There was some talk of making the source code available for the Mojam Humble Bundle games. Any chance for this one? I learned quite a bit about doing things the "Unity way" while watching the streams, but there were some things I missed.

Wolfire tends to be very open with these things, so you could look out for the source at https://github.com/David20321?tab=repositories

The steam overlay works on the game so i recommend adding the shortcut to your steam library
