would it be possible to play overgrowth with an xbox controller?

Works great with my wireless Xbox controller. :)
You can also edit you gamepad controlls with SUMLauncher.

Yes you can, also you and your friend can play versus mode together(other or both player uses controllers[not online, Same room same computer local only])

you can use an Xbox controller or even a dualshock 3 controller with a program called motionjoy, me and my friend tried it on his computer and it works good
