I don't actually have the source code to the OS X version of Black Shades, it was ported by Derek Arndt at http://derekarndt.com/

Black Shades isn't written in TNT basic. And C is about as far from basic as you can get among the higher level languages.

No, there are object oriented BASICs, RealBASIC and also I think FutureBASIC(though that is very very much like C).

What is it with people and source codes. 99% of all of you dont even know how to code jack (this is including myself). Nothing David has ever made was ever written in anything more basic than C. It seems that all of you keep on asking for source code when you dont even know how to do it.

Zip, do you ever get tired of answering these questions? Why doesn't David just set up a forum for people that want code?

Probably because it would solve pretty much nothing. There would still be people asking in other sections regardless of if David made a soarce code forum. Not only that, it takes enough time to monitor/maintain a forum of the size that it is already.

Who knows, if he set one up he would probably start getting bombarded with questions about how they are supposed to alter his codes, or about why they can't port it over into an applescript format.

Who would want to repeatedly answer questions like that a hundred times over.

I guess it would give the same feeling that david is most likely getting from people like me who have asked him if there was still room in the beta testing crew. :?

Oh by the way Razor, did you make that avatar yourself? because It looks awesome.

I need way more practice using photoshop before I could do something like that.

That was actually part of my quote zip, not Razor's. Just thought I'd clear that up.

Cheers.

My avatar was made by a good friend names Sipefree (his online name actually)

I am an admin on his graphics forum.

If you really like it, im sure you could ask for him to make you one. He is a master at Photoshop.

i strongly object to the fact that you said that 99% of us can't program. 1) there aren't 99 of us (or are there? i have to check), and so if i can program, which i can, than that is wrong.
2) I expect that all of us have programed in the past in some way. But yes, there are differences between programing and being programers.

There are 128 of us, and you don't seem to have ever released any of your software, out of that number I believe 4 can program, 96.875% of the Wolfire Forum cannot program.
2) I expect that all of us have programed in the past in some way. But yes, there are differences between programing and being programers.
Wtf... Wtf!?
I wouldn't say that at all, unless you consider BBCode programming, and if you do program, you are a programmer, even if its just Hello World.

And please stop perpetuating the unfortunate trend of dredging up old topics to post into, especialy pointless ones such as the Black Shades mod.
1) stop beating a dead horse
2) the sos models aren't compatible. Two very different game enginges.
1) Spoon had already said what needed to be said on the subject, lock it.
2) That had already been stated, 3 months ago.

first, just because i haven't released anything doesn't mean i don't.
second, i don't read posts from three months ago, and i just skim all the posts.
