Am I able to run Overgrowth?

Post by LoveSkunk23 » Sun Apr 27, 2014 11:41 pm

My laptop had an Intel HD graphics card and is Windows 8. This is the default graphics card to, as in, from the factory. I'm tempted to buy the game, but I don't want to spend 30$ for nothing. Any help will be appreciated.

If you post the specific type of intel gpu you have, someone might be able to test it for you. It might work, but without testing there's no certainty.

Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU N820 @ 2.13 GHz 2.13GHz

This is the processor which I assume is the default graphics card.

It's Intel(R) HD Graphics

Looks like this processor has an integrated graphics unit. I don't really know the specifications of this particular model, but I have not had very good experiences with integrated GPUs and have tried to stay away from them. Granted, it's been some years now. Maybe they have improved? But I have low hopes.

Could you test it? Like I said, I would rather not buy the game unless I'm absolutely sure. So far, all I've gotten from friends and sources alike are just vague responses.

Edit: I think though your CPU would be your bottleneck here.. Would the game run? Probably. I wouldn't be able to tell you at what framerate though, but with a laptop CPU you will most likely lag every time there's a physics calculation, and this game has many of those.

If you can't run Overgrowth, try out Lugaru, it runs mostly on any computer, and has amazing combat.
It is basically the first overgrowth with turner the rabbit.
