Anton and I record a show about the Wolfire community sometimes, this thread is about that.

Sweet, maybe this will calm people down who claim there aren't enough updates on the game

That is definitely the idea. It won't be about showing off all the new tech, but it will be a way for people to discuss changes that are currently happening.

Do you plan on adding more weapons, or are you content with the amount of weapons already in game?

Here's my game Qs, in order of importance in case answering all would take too long.

What should be considered when deciding between custom engine or getting an existing one? Has the situation changed since you started OG?

As a community member, I feel like the lack of public development updates has driven people away or into inactivity. As a game developer, I'm still in awe of the reach you managed to get with a blog, a forum and hard work. I'd like to hear about community management, especially how much time it takes away from development.

Besides Turner, who are so other main characters you have planned?
-
Has there been any ideas that ended up getting scrapped, such as content, character designs, levels?
-
Will you be adding more Watership Down/Animal books and movie references like in Lugaru?
-
How is life going for you guys, I mean besides working on game projects?
-
Are you furry? How do you feel about furries? Asking this due to the massive OG fan base which are furs.
-
Do you ever have dreams/nightmares about your OG project? What are they about?
-
Is the game world based on the concept art, or is the concept art based on the game world?
-
How long will these Q&A sessions last roughly? Will they be uploaded to youtube in case I miss them?

Here are my questions:
You mentioned expanding the arena meta-game to have a goal and interesting events; are you working on this now and if not how high priority is it?
Are you planning to/would it be possible to make armor actually act like armor instead of being just aesthetic?
How often do you just play your game for fun?
Are you planning on adding any more playable species than the ones we currently have?
Thanks for any answers you give, it's super cool that you are doing this :D

What sort of weather effects do you have planned for Overgrowth? Will the rabbit catcher weapon have custom animations eventually? You mentioned nunchucks, think flails would be possible too? Do amphibians and reptiles live in the Overgrowth world? Thanks!

Custom juggle bones for existing skeletons? For lets say if a custom character with cloth or such. Is this possible now, and if not will it soon? :P

Just finished the first Q&A episode. Thanks a lot for your great questions! I said during the show that I was going to make a new topic, but I think it's going to be less spammy to just keep this one, so keep asking questions here and we will try to ask them to David in the next OGW Q&A on the 30th! :)

EDIT:
Video is up:
