Grow more things than beans.

...

See, I too can create posts that are vague and half completed.
Its like walking up to someone and saying, "Remember that thing last week?"

...
Are you trying to fundraise for something or did you just accidentally mispost in the wrong forum?

I think he's talking about fundraising for L2. Look man, I look forward to L2 as much as anyone, but seriously, it's not like it's a charity or something. At the end of the day, David is doing this because he enjoys it, and for money. He and his team are basically a small business. When was the last time you donated money to a business?

I have no idea what you're saying and it's kinda hurting my eyes.

Yesterday I donated my life savings to Microsoft.

I doubt they'd be impressed, considering to mi¢ro$oft it'd be po¢k€t ¢hange.

Also, I think Mike's trying to ask us how he should go about fundraising for Wolfire in general…

And the question still stands; when was the last time you donated money to a business? Doing so would be retarded.

A different thing altogether would be a shareholder, and that's not the same thing whatsoever.

I'd say letting people know about the game is enough, and I'm pretty sure everyone must have been doing that anyway.

I do seem to recall a PayPal Donate button somewhere on the site at one point… And several hundred other PayPal Donate buttons on other shareware developers' websites. Donating money to a business is not retarded in itself, it's only retarded if you donate money to a business that doesn't even need it, want it, or anything like that in the slightest. ie: Mi¢ro$oft.

I hardly think they're low on funds. Most people on this forum aren't even over 18 yet...none of us are exactly rolling in it.

Yes, but Wolfire isn't rolling in cash like Mi¢ro$oft, and therefore there actually might be a reason to have a donate button at some point, just in case.

I think most people have agreed it's not really a plausible idea.

Are you going to travel from New Zealand to go to a Lugaru BBQ fundraiser?

Didn't think so.
