it says in command window its unable to find some textures then it tells me syntax error in a pop up window or something like that i thought it was my copy but it does it on my brothers game too. please help i wanna play overgrowth bad.

Can you give us the exact error message?

ERROR: 0:1424: 'location' : syntax error syntax error
Attached fragment shader is not compiled
ERROR: 0:1425: 'location' : syntax error syntax error
Attached fragment shader is not compiled
ERROR: 0:1426: 'location' : syntax error syntax error
Attached fragment shader is not compiled
and so on so forth does the same thing.

Thank goodness I'm not the only one getting this.

That bug'll actually be fixed for the next alpha. Try updating your game in Steam to internal_testing and see if that fixes it.
