Can you delete (HumbleBundle) and buy Overgrowth on Steam?

Postby JordonFreemon325 » Wed Jan 18, 2017 9:50 am

Hello!
Some time earlier last year I subscribed to Humble Bundle and received some games. My brother found someone who wanted one in exchange for an Overgrowth Steam key, so I said go ahead. Unfortunately it didn't come with whatever I needed to get the download for the SUM Launcher.

I was wondering, if I delete Overgrowth from my Steam account, if I could purchase the game myself and receive not only the keys and SUM Launcher but the game itself again. I'm worried some automated dealy will mess with this idea and not let me get the game again. I've already spoken to Wolfire about getting the launcher by itself but, due to my game being "retail" I believe, it's on Humble Bundle. Only other way is to purchase it myself, it seems. Any information on if this is possible? I'd like to enjoy the game and have the full experience presented.
Thank you in advance for any responses!

I don't know about deleting from steam, but I do know that steam does either a warning (or blocks you?) at checkout if you already have the game on your account and try to buy it again.

I think some people have had good luck with purchasing the game from the Humble store when they're in a situation like this.

I believe you get an additional Wolfire game if you go that route.

Thank you, Merlyn! May just have to do that. I'd really like to get all the game comes with. It's a shame I didn't realize the flaw of trading for it before I did.
