But we all still love you! <3
As plenty of us have said earlier, we can wait. We've got the alphas now to keep up going anyway =D

And actually, I was meaning to ask: What of the eventual delivery of the pre-ordered packages?
More specifically: any progress on confirming a cold hard boxed version?
I do realise it'd be way too early to actually ask this, but for the minor chance there'd be something new to tell, I'd ask.

The preorders are for digital distribution right now. We talked to some people about getting a box version, but no one has responded to us yet.

I am this close--to preordering overgrowth, mainly because of the map editor i like it that it's kind of a mix between the map editor of the cry engine and the source hammer editor and i am more than just familiar with those. So far i have only two things bugging me and making me not want to preorder overgrowth:

as of what I've seen so far, of the objects and placeables you guys have been browsing through and shown us, there isn't not enough foliage (shrubs, leafs, trees etc. basically just plants and dead plants) and that bugs me a lot as the game's name is overgrown. I'm sure that you'll add more foliage later on but i would like to see what you've made so far.

Edit: almost forgot: the game needs bears, seriously who wouldn't want bears in their game?

Hey m3nace, thanks for checking us out! I think right now we have four types of trees, and six types of foliage. There will be more later, of course. We haven't implemented our grass engine yet, which will really help make things look overgrown.

No bears unfortunately :(

There's always the mods, m3nace... There's always the mods... ;)

Bears shouuld be easy enough to do, right? If the wolves are gonna look anything like they did in Lugaru the modder could just resize and reshape the model a little, not even change the claws or animation much, and ta-da! Makeshift bear.

Yes you could make your own levels, but... where did the 'slaves' picture come in?

the slaves.... I guess the dogs are more slaves then, but they do have wolfs to fight in arenas right. Anyways i'll just wait for or create the bear mods then.

Well I'm re-considering now as my favourite cartoon as a kid was Redwall and i love the books too. Redwall had no bears but it featured antromorphic animals too and i still liked it.

then how come it's called overgrowth?
Plants need water to overgrow, even to live.
