Ok ok ok ok check this out:

Wouldn't it be awesome if Black Shades or Lugaru worked on the Wii? I think that would be the coolest thing EVA!

I'm not saying it's gonna happen, i'm just saying that would be cool.

eh maybe...
you'd have to pay CLOSE attention to the control scheme on Lugaru if done so...
and Black Shades isn't really an expansive enough game for the majority of Wii users to buy as WiiWare

I actually think Lugaru would be a perfect game for Wii, and like a real game.

I think Black Shades would be great for Wii Ware, tho.

Not worth the team's effort. They are going to be making much better games anyhow.

Lugaru would have to be cheap on the Wii to be worthwhile, considering both the competition, and the fact that additional content would be much harder to get.

I don't see how Wii's wiggle controls could possibly make Lugaru a funner game. In my opinion a motion sensor cannot add very much to the game, and even with blackshades, wii does fps games very poorly. It's too difficult to aim, it has a ton of lag and inaccuracies around the aimer making shooting people very difficult compared to mouse and keyboard or even real life, plus, to rotate your view you have to aim at the edge of the screen and that in itself is very slow and awkward to do. At least with a typical console controller you can control better and have access to more buttons and triggers so I'd much rather see these on ps3 or 360, if anything, perhaps as downloadable content.

yeah
but if you put LUGARU on the 360
you'd have to make it like only 400 points
or risk major failure like Doom did when people realized it wasn't an upgraded version
OF COURSE
it would be a good chance to get publicity for OG and if OG were to ever make it to the 360, they could have the Stop and Swap thing where if you do yada yada in one game, you unlock yada yada in the other
kind of like Rare is doing with Banjo-Kazooie Live and BK: Nuts and Bolts

Black shades would make an Awsome game for the platform, but I think if it were to publicly get out there and make something, It would need to Go for better graphics, and more Prityful things (no more block/square heads).
It ould also need a few cinimatics to make up a story.

I could just think of an Idea of one: some one getting stuck in a dream state where they have to Protect this guy from these assasins. Each time he completes a level there is a Ingame movie talking about something to help the Body guard escape the dream, and connecting the next phase.

It sounds like a fun little idea, but it's probably a better idea to use the resources Wolfire has on new games rather than remaking older ones or programming new ones several times.

Well ...
David wrote:Black Shades 2 is definitely on the list of games I would like to make.

Unfortunately, it is not a short list.
You were saying? ;)

... that is, unless you were talking about mere ports of older games onto different systems, meh, I don't support that either.

But seriously, if Black Shades was remade into a more finished, highly-polished game with multiplayer and multiple game modes and the like, it would be so freaking awesome. That game has so much potential, and if the Wolfire team took another shot at it, it could basically be a new game :)

Ooh. Multiplayer would be a cooperative mode to escort the VIP with a friend or two. Imagine watching out for snipers on rooftops and things like that. Fun!
