Serial and name problem

I am having a problem with lugaru.
The problem is that, I recieved my christmas cd-key, and I have been trying to enter it the past few hours. It has beens aying that it is the wrong combination yet I have checked over the name and key with several seiries of alt-tabs, does the name under the user profile need to be the same or what. I have no idea but I would like this to be resolved.
