Overgrowth on GT

Earlier today during my regular GameTrailers.com checkup I noticed they had added videos showcasing the blood/liquid physics as well as a video on procedural animation and speed drawing of concept art that were shown a while ago in the blog (i think).
Anyway, I'm just pleased to see more Overgrowth material being spread around, especially on such a big site like GT.

We have been Vimeowned. Vimeo doesn't want our design tour videos anymore and is going to disable them soon. We will be using GameTrailers and YouTube from now on.

What do they have a problem with, exactly?

Concerning GT, do you have to apply to have your videos posted or are they fairly lenient in allowing developers to post new vids freely?

They have a strict policy about no video game movies. They made an exception for us because we are recording our own video game, however, they decided that since the design tours are not about Overgrowth they must be deleted.
They politely refunded our Pro membership and gave us the boot.
Don't ask me about their business model or why they don't want our traffic and money. It makes no sense. GameTrailers is really awesome though and they might even give David a special feature for his design tours.
We will cross post all future videos on YouTube and GameTrailers, and add Vimeo to our Wolfire AVOID list.

It's one of those things like Steam and other sites where they don't return your emails for a long time, but then randomly one day they decide they like you.
GameTrailers was particularly receptive given our sad Vimeownage story.
Frankly, I am glad Vimeo gave us the boot, because it opened up this huge opportunity on GameTrailers for us.
Also, the only reason we went with Vimeo in the first place was because of their HD. YouTube has very impressive HD capabilities now. John is currently migrating our stuff, right now.

Ahh ok, i see. I will definitely subscribe!
I'm glad you were able to get onto GameTrailers, they are really quite big and it will bring a lot of great exposure to Overgrowth. I think the collective views of your new videos is around 20,000 already! I've tried to reason with naysayers in comments as well

lol.

Yeah, you're right too. That'll teach them for being so stingy. This way, they're not just losing you and David as customers, they're losing a huge chunk of other people, i.e. the people who'll come across this on the Forums and think "Hey, Vimeo are pricks." and not use their service. Usually I wouldn't be bothered by something like this, but they're being serious cunts.

Let them be pricks if they want.
You can be a prick yourself sometimes, Ren. We all can. Sometimes we are and sometimes we aren't, and other times we're just simply misunderstood.
Life's a burden, but that doesn't mean you can start being an ass 'cos "they started it".

Hahaha, I have a feeling Glabbit is bipolar or something. One second he's like "I LOVE REN" then the next he's like "I HATE REN".
Am I "Ren" now like Ren and Stimpy? 'Cause that would be awesome. Although that show was incredibly and annoyingly overrated. Tom & Jerry ftw plz.
I wouldn't mind being a hippocrat though. Is that like the large mammal version of a democrat?
Anyway, WHALEMAN GON' BE DOIN' SOME CURB-STOMPIN' YO.
