Chasing cheese?
Chasing cheese?
I know this sounds like it belongs to Randomness, but I wanted to show you a video I accidently found.
The video shows its not very easy running on a slope, for humans at least.
Also, it can be very insipring for ragdolls O_O

Re: Chasing cheese?
In the older alphas at least, running up a hill was a pain, so people would just jump up them. Jumping up hills should be fairly hard too IMO. Jumping should partially be based on the slop you're on and other factors.
EDIT: Whoops. Anyways, running -downhill- is very difficult as well. Walking on flat ground is easiest because we can naturally walk with one foot in front of the other. When you have to put one foot in front of the other, and then have it drop about 1 or 2 feet, then there are problems, especially when the surface you're putting your foot on is at an angle. If the people in the video were running down a huge staircase it would be easier since a staircase has steps that are horizontal at least...

I've been to that hill. Not even joking. Every year at least two people get seriously injured during cheese chasing.
(it's much steeper than it looks.)

If you read the description in the video it says some people had to be carried away in stretchers.
Re: Chasing cheese?
I think someone got killed last year. I've seen another version on you tube from several years ago where one guy basically turns into a limp ragdoll and bounces down the hill. I think he died of his injuries after.

Yea, its pretty random.Untadaike wrote:That is so random. Where do they play that?
I just thought it might be useful for the wolfire team.
But john said he already saw that video on tv.
Re: Chasing cheese?
Ahh, its a British Event, we roll a big cheese down a hill and jump down after it, Its called 'Cheese Rolling and Wake'

More info there, a very dangerous event maybe someone should mod lugaru and amke a cheese tumble down a hill and then ragdoll the player so you tumble after it.

Re: Chasing cheese?
I especially love the second run where they all fall together and just start bouncing down the hill.
The guy who, err...won (if you can call it that) the first one did pretty well though. I would have fallen long before he did.
