True, the beard itself is shiny, but in the picture the hammer threatens to mangle this magnificent beard we idolize so much, which terrifies me even to think that this trophy of hope in our lives would be crushed by something so clumsy and blunt.

Brothers! Fellow Beardarians!

We stand on the brink of a schism! For lo' the Beard of John is pink, having previously been brown and change, foul change, can only mean error! Change signifies dissent, doubt, regret! But our Lord John could never have felt such things - it is inconceivable: to say otherwise would be blasphemy!

Image

It can only be us, with our mortal eyes and mortal judgement who are mistaken! The beard's colour is eternal - it is and was and will be one colour and one colour only, for this is the way of John'Beard! But lo' for we must meditate know, so as to uncover the true nature of the Sacred Beard - brown or pink? Whatever answer is sent from above, we must correct all records past and future to ensure that the truth is as eternal as John'Beard!

But I am afraid - afraid my fellow Beardarians - that disputes over the colour of the Great Beard will tear us apart - oh woe! Oh woe!
