I'm thinking of upgrading from 9.04 32 bit to 9.10 64 bit now that the stable release is out. It took me a while to get Lugaru to play ball in the first place - is it at all likely to run on the new version?

PS - Ubuntu 9.10 >> Windows 7.
Because I said so.
So there.
Lugaru on Ubuntu 9.10 64 bit
Re: Lugaru on Ubuntu 9.10 64 bit
Well I just installed Ubuntu 9.10 (32bit) and am having problems starting the game - all it says is 'Illegal instruction'
I'm launching lugaru from within it's directory, LD_LIBRARY_PATH is set to '.', my current resolution is 1280x1024 and I did alter the lugaru/Data/config.txt to start at his resolution (also tried changin both to 1024x768) - the .lugaru directory wasn't created yet.
strace shows a whole bunch of 'Resource temporarily unavailable' errors on read's from fd 3 (every time it happens, it's an open socket on the X11 socket: /tmp/.X11-unix/X0), but I'm not sure whether it's relevant..
these are the last lines of the strace
writev(3, [{"\203\2\2\0\0\0\4\0+\10\1\0", 12}, {NULL, 0}, {"", 0}], 3) = 12
poll([{fd=3, events=POLLIN}], 1, -1) = 1 ([{fd=3, revents=POLLIN}])
read(3, "\1\1\244\0\0\0\0\0\16\0`\3\0\0\0\0002\0\0\0H\377\36\10\210\263\262\t\0\0\0\0", 4096) = 32
read(3, 0xc55d8a0, 4096) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable)
--- SIGILL (Illegal instruction) @ 0 (0) ---
+++ killed by SIGILL +++
Any ideas?
PS. Sorry for hijacking your thread, I can move to a new one if it's more appropriate..

Re: Lugaru on Ubuntu 9.10 64 bit
I did get Lugaru working on 9.10 but it was a little bit laggy compared to 9.04. It's also important to note that Lugaru installs Pulseaudio, which has been causing havok on 9.10 for some people - myself included. Ultimately I left 9.10 and went back to 9.04
